January’s meeting was a blockbuster start to our new year. We had an excellent turnout for the presentation put on by Howard Hewitt. The evening was filled with stories, experiences, and amazing displays of some of the treasures he has found over the past 40 years. This made for a good evening had by all.

Preparations for the annual spring hunt are coming along very well. Mailings have been sent; ads, website and hunt information have been placed with magazines and clubs at both regional and national levels. With completed applications now starting to come in, I wish to express my appreciation for all that has been accomplished by our club secretaries and hunt master for the groundwork to make our 22nd annual spring hunt a success.  

Moving forward, we will be handing out copies of the club bylaws to all active members at the February meeting.  Some of the articles within the bylaws need to be reviewed and discussed by the membership. For those who have yet to renew, please do so as soon as possible, as this is your club too and your input is needed and important.
